TPACK & ACAD (Facilitator)

HELLO!

Welcome back to our blog! This week we explored two very interesting frameworks to take into consideration when teaching, the TPACK and the ACAD frameworks.

TPACK is formed by 3 elements, Technological Knowledge, Pedagogical Knowledge, and Content Knowledge. It is represented by this Venn diagram, in which the dotted line around it represents the context.

ACAD stands for Activity-Centered Analysis and Design. This framework focuses on how the context affects learning. You can't design lerning, you can only design teaching, and hope learning occurs. There are three different designs contemplated in the ACAD framework, which are Set Design (referring to the physical space), Epistemic Design (referring to the tasks), and Social Design (referring to whether a task is  individual or in groups)

This is just a taste of all the information we have, so stay tuned to find out more!
